I decided to create today's look for two reasons: many people were interested in the eyeshadow shades I was wearing in my last video, and I desperately wanted to film something with a dark lip this week. Marrying those two motivators together, this is what I came up with.

Last month I was doing a lot of travelling between London and Brighton (for very exciting reasons but I'll talk about that in a different post, eee!) so my makeup of the month for December was nice and simple and created with only one palette since I like to travel light.

Winter Forest Fairy Makeup Tutorial

This week I had the absolute pleasure of collaborating with NikkieTutorials! We've known each other for years now and both have a lot of love for the weird and wonderful makeup looks so I'm pretty surprised we haven't worked together sooner! For our collab the theme was 'fantasy forest dwelling creatures' so I created a fairy and Nikkie created an elf. Fun stuff!

Partywear Looks with River Island | Outfits, Makeup & Giveaway

Today I've teamed up with River Island to create some makeup looks to go along with some outfits! Since we're coming up to party season I picked out a few dresses from their partywear section and decided to go from quite a casual daytime look to a glamorous evening look, building up the makeup intensity as I went. Skin care isn't something I've really bothered with until recently (after noticing things that weren't there before!) so this is definitely new territory for me.

The other week Shien Cosmetics got in touch to ask if I wanted to try out some of their lipsticks. I was so blown away by the presentation of the website and the beautiful swatches and the alluring and sensual feel of the brand that I replied immediately and spent the next week waiting eagerly at the door for the postman!

Today's video is an exciting one! My friend Lena and I finally put our heads together and collaborated. I did a makeup look inspired by one of Lena's watercolour paintings and she painted one of my photos in her usual beautiful style.

Infected (Zombie Makeup Tutorial)

For this video I wanted to do a newly 'Infected' zombie look. My original plan was to go with a really ill looking makeup and a zombie bite to suggest that the person had been bitten and was slowly turning into a zombie. Then I got carried away with the boils and the green and purple colour palette and I decided to ditch the bite completely because the boils were definitely enough!

Well, well, well... Look what we have here! I'm sure if you watch YouTube videos and you haven't been living under a rock for the past couple of years then you're probably already subscribed to the delight that is Zoella. A couple of weeks ago she launched her very own range of pamper products and the beauty blogging world erupted with pride and joy. It's always such a nice thing to see internet folk creating things out there in the real world! It's also lovely to see how supportive other bloggers are too.
